Prague Castle

Today, we had a substitute teacher for Survival Czech because our professor was ill. He seemed as though they had gone outside and found the first person they could who spoke Czech and English. But he was funny. We went over some things we had already learned and then learned how to ask for directions and complete that conversation. Then, when we had about 20 minutes left of class, he said we were going to walk to the tram stop and ask Czech people for directions. We paired off and he gave us street names and other places to ask for. The first woman Jonathan and I asked just responded with "English? Vysehrad (which is our school so of course we knew where it was) is down there and you turn right and go up the hill" and we decided that didn't count because she responded in English. So then we asked a different guy where this other street was and he told us, but it was in the opposite direction as our school and then he kind of stood there and watched us walk 20 feet in the direction he told us and then turn around so we could make it back for our other classes and he probably thought we were complete idiots, going to opposite direction from what he said. Other people did not have a ton of success either. Somebody asked somebody waiting for a tram where something was and the person said "get on this tram, we'll take you there" and they had to be like "nah I don't really care where it is ok bye." So it was funny, but I still think they found this guy outside somewhere. Also, he taught us how to say "thank you so much" and the word for "much" is mockrat and it sounds like mouserat. Then my art and architecture class walked a lot. This is Queen Ann's Summer Palace.

more walking.

Coronation Hall. We were not supposed to take pictures. Oops.

Me lookin fine as hell.

Then we went to St. Vitus Cathedral. I had already been there on the open churches night, but our professor told us more about it today. And there were less people.

We also went to St. George's Basilica even though last time I tried to go there, the lady who worked there was super rude so I wasn't gonna go back. But we had tickets for just about everything in the complex. And we went for class. So I couldn't really not go.

Then we went to Golden Lane. It was called that because of frozen pee. True story.

 I spy Kafka's house.

Here is a piece of a cyberman.

I also did laundry today! And I think it's probably the only time I'll have to do it. Actually I might wash my sheet and towel tomorrow. But we'll see. Olivia and I also went to a park near our place and drank cider and she did homework and I read my book because today is the first day I don't have homework. And there were a lot of doggies running around. And then it got kind of windy and cold so we came back to Rubesova. And I'm gonna go make myself some food.
